The ultra-rugged CCFC field camera promises to be the best outdoor camera in the world. The camera captures high-resolution photos (up to 5 megapixels) and videos (up to 720p) using an internal timer, motion detection, or a trigger from a datalogger. Low power consumption makes the CCFC ideal for remote, unattended, battery-powered installations.

Designed specifically for remote outdoor observation applications, the CCFC has an operating temperature range of -40° to 60°C. Its rugged, high-quality, type-3-anodized-aluminum case protects the camera from corrosive environments and high humidity. A window defroster prevents and removes light frost and icing from the camera’s window.

The CCFC comes with an improved image sensor (as compared with the CC5MPX camera) and a high-quality 18x optical zoom lens for taking both wide-angled and zoomed images. Up to four lens positions can capture photos or videos from different zoom lengths for each captured event. The CCFC can automatically re-focus at each zoom length, ensuring crisp detail in every photo. (See photos below.)

Two infrared LEDs and configurable night mode settings allow images to be captured under almost any lighting conditions. The photos provided below highlight the camera’s night-time capabilities. The photo taken at sunset used longer exposure time to compensate for low light. The photo taken in full darkness was illuminated entirely by the camera’s LEDs.

Taken at 9 p.m. (sunset). Photo at left shows the staff gage from 50 ft away, and photo
at right uses the 18x optical zoom to show a close-up of the staff gage indicating water level.

Taken at 10:45 p.m. in full darkness with almost no ambient light. Photo shows the staff gage,
as well as the trees and brush in the foreground and background.

The CCFC includes built-in Wi-Fi capability for wirelessly accessing the camera’s web interface using a smartphone, tablet, or laptop. The interface allows you to take test pictures, confirm zoom presets, and retrieve captured media. It simplifies configuration and contains tips to ensure you are getting the most out of your new outdoor camera.

These many features make the CCFC ideal for many outdoor observation and surveillance applications.
