monitor external battery voltage

I have a situation where I would like to monitor the voltage of a battery bank that is not the power source of the datalogger. I am using a CR1000 and would like to know if anyone can tell me how to connect the external battery bank to the datalogger, and what instruction to use in the programming.

The battery bank is 24 volts but can range as high as about 29.5 volts.

I would also like to monitor an external battery (I believe 12 volts) and wondered what the answer to this question was.

You can use VDIV 10:1 (or build one yourself).
