The 41303-5B, manufactured by R. M. Young, is a naturally aspirated, 6-plate radiation shield. Its louvered construction allows air to pass freely through the shield, serving to keep the probe at or near ambient temperature. The shield's white color reflects solar radiation.

The 41303-5B houses one 107, 108, 109, CS215, or HMP60 probe. The probe fits in the bottom of the shield and is held into place with screws.
