Within LoggerNet, there is the capability of creating a backup file containing the LoggerNet system files, settings, and data. This can be used to move settings from an old computer to a new one. The process involves performing a Network Backup on the old computer and a Network Restore on the new one.
From the LoggerNet Setup Screen, choose Backup | Manual Backup…. In the screens that follow, several choices need to be made:

Even with the Backup/Restore utility, there still may be some work to do. For example, if a new computer has different serial terminal numbers or different modem settings than the old computer, after the restore process is completed, the network map in the Setup screen will have to be reviewed, and the settings that have changed will need to be fixed.
